Your support has helped us to donate over 1.5 million dollars to brain tumor research and KRF is responsible for over $2 MILLION dollars in donations to CHOP in the past 10 years. We have accomplished so much in Kortney’s name, but there is more to be done for other kids suffering from brain and central nervous system tumors. Please be sure to come out for a great event to support a great cause.
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND –TEAMS. When you register you will have the option to set up a team just for fun or to fundraiser. You may fundraiser as an individual or a team. It’s fun to bring friends and ask them to support research for the #1 disease cause of death in children 19 and under.
With less than 4% of National Cancer Institute funding allocated to ALL forms of pediatric cancer research, foundations like The Kortney Rose Foundation (KRF) are the ones making up the gap to fund lifesaving research and we need your help to do so.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors and participants for making the 11th annual Kortney’s Challenge the largest challenge to date!
My friend Coral shared a story with me last week that she kept forgetting to tell me about. Coral, her boyfriend and his daughter Janeen all participated in the 2016 Kortney’s Challenge 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk at Monmouth Park this past August. She said Janeen was so proud of her medal and it hangs on her bedroom door. When the students started back to school in September Janeen’s 5th grade teacher asked the students to write and draw about what they did over their summer vacation. Below is what Janeen wrote and drew about. This is just so heartwarming!
“During the summer I went to Monmouth Park and for a run for caner(sic) and tumers(sic). My dad his girlfriend and I ran 2 ½ miles. At the end of the race I got a trophy and drank lots of water and Italian Ice!”
