The Kortney Rose Foundation purchased gold socks for all of the varsity fall sports at Shore Regional including men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey and football. During the month of September the teams wore the socks in their games to help raise awareness to the fact that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We want to send a big thank you to Shore Regional Varsity Sports.
We also asked the Oceanport Recreational Soccer League if they could wear the socks for September. They wholeheartedly agreed and instead of just wearing them in September they bought them as this year’s uniform socks and are wearing them their entire season! Thank you to this league for their fantastic support.
Thank you to the Shore YFC for helping bring awareness to childhood cancer awareness month (September) by wearing gold ribbon stickers on their helmets. We are grateful to the Zenkerts for donating the stickers and helping to get this done.
