Currently, Bob is Vice President of Business Development SMS Research Advisers, a primary Market Research and Consulting Firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bob was previously Vice President of Marketing Deluxe Corporation, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Katun Corporation, and Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Unit Manager for 3M and Imation Corporation.
Bob Serves the Board of Directors for Simpson housing Services, Minneapolis, Minnesota and The PipJazz Foundation, St Paul Minnesota.
Bob joined the KRF board in 2007.
Chief Executive Officer, Bethesda Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota
Cathy Barr has nearly 30 years of health care leadership experience including, hospital, clinic, home health care, rehabilitation/workman’s compensation and community based health services. Currently, Cathy is the Chief Executive Officer of Bethesda Hospital, and a Senior Vice President of Community Services, HealthEast Care System located in St. Paul, Minnesota. A Registered Nurse by background, Cathy began her career in as a staff nurse in the Philadelphia, PA metro area. This nursing background has allowed Cathy to lead with a balanced approach focused on the patient, clinical outcomes and business results.
Cathy Serves the Board of Directors of Women’s Health Leadership Trust, Community Health Charities of Minnesota, and the Governing Council of the American Hospital Association for Post-Acute Care. Cathy joined the KRF board in 2007.
Alicia Caldwell, CPA, MBA
Alicia is an Accountant at Wilkin & Guttenplan P.C. located in East Brunswick, NJ.
Alicia has been with Wilkin & Guttenplan for a year and a half and specializes in servicing the real estate industry and closely-held businesses. She provides audit, compilation, review and consulting services for these entities. Prior to joining Wilkin & Guttenplan, Alicia started her career in the brokerage industry as an accountant and developed a varied background in budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis. Alicia also took a professional sabbatical to raise her three children during which time she completed her MBA, a Post Masters Certificate Program in Accounting, and the CPA exam. Alicia holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the College of William and Mary, an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Information Systems from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and most recently a Post Master’s Degree in Accounting from Monmouth University. Alicia resides in Rumson with her husband, Scott, and 3 children.
Jennifer Egan, a recent graduate of Columbia University’s Master of Science in Strategic Communications program, has extensive experience developing communications strategies for corporations including IBM, IMAX Corporation, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Princeton Review, Clear Channel Communications and Live Nation. During her 15+ years in the public relations field, she also enjoyed working on pro-bono projects for nonprofits such as War Child, Columbia Shuttle Memorial Trust, City of Hope and the Ad Council. Currently, she is a supporter of the Monmouth Museum, Life Guard Ecumenical Foundation and ChildFund. Jennifer also holds a B.A. in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Jennifer joined the KRF board in April, 2013.
Jennifer lives in Rumson with her husband, John, and their two daughters Sasha and Helena.
Founder/President of The Kortney Rose Foundation
In addition to running the foundation, Kristen works full time as a secretary in the Department of Political Science and Sociology at Monmouth University. When Kortney was diagnosed she was working at Monmouth University as the Assistant to the editor of the Monmouth University Magazine. She left the university when Kortney was diagnosed with a brainstem glioma. After Kortney’s death she immediately began working to set up The Kortney Rose Foundation as a 501(c) (3). At that time, she was working part time as a nursery school teacher and in retail sales. Kristen graduated from Susquehanna University with a degree in business management.

Richard Gillette is Kortney’s Father and has been involved in The Kortney Rose Foundation since inception. He has been a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 29 years.
He is a graduate of Nichol’s College where he studied marketing and went on to work in sales before entering the post office.
Rich and Kristen and their daughter Kasey live in Oceanport, NJ.
Bradford R. Going is the former Managing Director at ICAP LLC, a UK based inter dealer broker. He managed the Structured Credit Derivatives business. Brad joined the KRF board in 2011.
Brad graduated from St. John’s University New York with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance and currently lives in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey.
Ina L Kichen
Ina has been working at Vonage in Holmdel since 2011 as a web content analyst and author. Prior to Vonage, she worked eight years at Public Health Solutions (PHS), a non-profit organization focused on community health. Ina was dedicated to a program supporting the technology used to track a population’s immunization coverage and promote complete and timely vaccinations so that all children are protected against vaccine-preventable diseases. Before PHS, Ina’s career was in publishing, specifically working with electronic publishing systems at McGraw-Hill, Forbes, Time, and other companies.
Ina lives in Shrewsbury with her husband, Steve, who is also an active and dedicated KRF volunteer. They have three grown children. Ina and Steve are also involved with the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights and Genocide Education at Brookdale Community College.
Ina proudly joined the board of the Kortney Rose Foundation at the end of 2015.
Suzie Mazzei is the former owner of Kids Creations Arts and Crafts Workshop in Oceanport, NJ. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City and offers not only business experience, but also an artistic eye that is much needed in running KRF. She was a jewelry designer for many years after graduating from FIT. Suzie joined the KRF board in April, 2013.
Suzie and her husband, James, live in Oceanport, NJ with their three children, Emily, Celia and Thea.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Dental Hygienist School, she had been a full time dental hygienist for many years. Recently Theresa updated her hygienist certifications and is now working on a part time basis as a hygienist. as well as, working with her husband in their jewelry business handling the payroll, ordering and bookkeeping.
Theresa and her husband, Brian, live in Oceanport with their two children, Dylan and Abigail.
Nancy Kreb Phillips is currently employed by W.L. Gore & Associates in the Human Resources Department of their Medical Products Division in Wall, NJ. Prior to that she spent 23 years at AT&T in various positions supporting their Global Business Services. In between she enjoyed time at home with her 2 daughters, which enabled her to actively volunteer with the Kortney Rose Foundation. Nancy joined the KRF Board in 2008.
Nancy and her husband, Bob, live in Oceanport, NJ with their two daughters, Laura and Madelyn.
Pam is the co-owner with her husband of the Turning Point Restaurant Group which began with one restaurant in 1998 and continues to grow with its tenth store opening in the spring of 2014.
Pam ended her duties as PTA President of the Monmouth Beach School in June of 2013 and then joined the board of the Kortney Rose Foundation.
Pam and her husband, Kirk, live in Monmouth Beach, NJ with their daughter and two sons.
Greg Smith is responsible for Capital One Bank’s Business Banking efforts for the Northeastern and Midatlantic (Boston to Richmond) part of the Country focusing on the development of banking relationships and service enhancements throughout. In addition, he is in charge of building partnerships with the bank’s regional branch network and credit team, as well as treasury management, merchant services, personal investments and other specialized areas within the bank. Based in Edison, NJ, Smith builds banking relationships through a consultative approach and draws from his 25+ years of banking experience within the marketplace. Smith joined Capital One Bank in June of 2003 after serving 16 years in a variety of management roles on both the commercial and retail side of the bank at Bank of America. His 25 years of banking experience have all been in New Jersey. Smith has always been a champion of volunteerism and continues to lend his time to organizations such as Manna House, United Way of Ocean & Monmouth County, Urban League of NJ, NJIT, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and JDRF. Smith serves on the Board of Directors of NJIT. A resident of Medford, NJ, Smith received his BS degree in Business Administration from Farleigh Dickenson in 1988 and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Rider University in 1992. Married to his wife Patricia O’Connell–Smith for 26 years and together they have a son Dylan age 13. They currently reside in Medford, NJ.
